We are thrilled to have a mini season to show off our newest location. Book now for this season or schedule a trip for next year!
This magical property in the foothills of Paradise has so much to offer! In addition to our luxurious tents, enjoy walks through lush gardens, feed fish in the massive koi pond, relax on the exquisitely appointed pool deck overlooking the pool, hot tub and pond, or cool off with a libation in the Cave.
Enjoy the rustic industrial feel of an old speakeasy, with modern comforts. A deluxe queen bed fitted with individual reading lights allows you to rest and recharge. Sit at your personal in-tent bar and enjoy a cocktail while cooling off in the A/C or relax on the deck before taking a dip in the pool.
Just as the name suggests, with features such as a luxuriously dressed queen bed, luxe fabrics, faux fur and lots of sparkle, this tent will transport you to the heyday of glam! Enjoy the stunning views from the front deck or relax in the hot tub for a true vacation.
Unwind in a plush queen canopy bed before waking to your personal coffee bar. In this tent you'll be surrounded by beautiful art from local artists! We know you'll fall in love with the place and art so some of the art will even be available for purchase.
Once here, guests have always found it difficult to leave. The 20-acre property offers a myriad of quiet places to relax and recharge. Walking, hiking or strolling is just part of the experience as guests wander through lush lawns with the sound of flowing water wherever one roams.
Each tent has an assigned, private restroom/shower in our 5-station shower trailer. Air conditioned, with unlimited hot water, and furnished with towels and hotel-style toiletries.
Parking and Guest access:
Enter the main property through a large welcoming gate, then drive right up to your tent for secure parking just behind your individual tent. Walk the property to use the cave, pool, hot tub, outdoor patio, open lawns, pond, and deck.
On-site hosts, Melissa and Cliff, may offer happy-hour treats and libations
Interaction with Hosts:
Property owners Melissa Schuster and Cliff Jacobson are on-site to share a glass of wine, swap some stories, or provide the deep historical background of this unique property. Got questions? They’re here to help and eager to ensure your experience is one you’ll want to repeat!
Located just 6.5 miles from Hwy. 99, this is rural living at its best. Of course, there are remnants of the destructive Camp Fire that raged through the area in 2018, but the disaster is mostly reflected in the new homes being built everywhere you look. Paradise is a known enclave for artists and some of their work can be seen along the roadside as your approach your destination. Livestock including llamas, goats, cattle, and horses, too! The brays of donkeys can be heard signaling dinner time for our four-legged friends. Keen eyes may spot wildlife ranging from hawks, eagles and geese, to deer, foxes, squirrels and much more.
Recommended Places and Activities:
This centrally-located property is just 5 minutes from downtown Paradise, 15 minutes from downtown Chico, and 20 minutes from downtown Oroville. You’re just minutes away from activities like community theatre at Theatre on the Ridge, concerts at the Paradise Performing Arts Center, kayaking on Paradise Lake, boating on Lake Oroville, or hiking and biking in the gorgeous Sierra Nevada foothills, plus wineries, breweries, restaurants, shops, nightlife, and more. Your hosts will be happy to share ideas!
Paradise: Paradise Thai and Maria’s offer ethnic cuisine. Nic’s offers sandwiches, salads, and flatbreads in a convivial, neighborhood bar setting. Mountain Mike’s delivers pizza.
Chico: Offers just about everything at every price point. Ask your hosts for specific recommendations!
Groceries: Holiday Market and Grocery Outlet are just up the road on Skyway.

*Be sure to ask about “Burnt Barn Distilling Co.” Scheduled to open in late spring of 2022, this exciting new development is right next door! *
The Camp Fire devastated the town of Paradise in 2018. Today, you can still see remnants of the fire as you approach the quaint town. Chapelle de' L'Artiste once housed a stunning bed and breakfast among other incredible amenities.
Paradise has begun the incredible process of rebuilding. New construction, renewed energy, and a community of hope and resiliency is at the heart of returning Paradise to all its name implies. At Chapelle de L'Artiste, we are thrilled to be rebuilding and starting anew. A new venture with Glamping and coming in Spring 2022 is Burnt Barn Distilling Company.
